The Mediterranean Diet Improved with Enzyme Q10 Extends The Life
Science has already shown the many virtues of the Mediterranean diet. However, the diet that is (or were) the majority of Spanish can be improved.
According to a study by scientists at the Center for Biomedical Research Network, Pathophysiology of Obesity and Nutrition (CIBERobn), the Mediterranean diet enriched with coenzyme Q10 has a powerful antioxidant for the elderly.
Study patients (ten men and as many women aged 65 years) underwent three isocaloric diets for periods of four weeks each: Mediterranean diet supplemented with coenzyme Q10 capsules, the same power mode but with placebo capsules and Western diet rich in saturated fat.
The result was that coenzyme Q10 amplified the benefits of the Mediterranean diet as much reduced expression after food, the genes encoding proteins related to aging.
The study, whose results are published in the journal Age, reinforces the theory of the beneficial properties of the molecule Q10, which acts as a major energy factories of the human organism, especially when slow aging.
Coenzyme Q-10 can be obtained by eating certain foods:
* Red meat.
* Oily fish: sardines, tuna and mackerel.
* Soy or peanut oil.
* The families of cabbage and spinach.
* Animal viscera: heart, kidney and liver.
This enzyme is also characterized, among other things, being a powerful cardiovascular protector, strengthen the immune system and help reduce weight naturally.
A power plant
The Q10 is responsible for promoting energy production, protect the skin from external damage and slow aging. Produced by the liver, is an enzyme whose properties and functions are intended mainly to make energy.
According to scientists, these enzymes make the body work more efficiently and are as natural fuel or “spark” that starts the process of converting food into energy.
This molecule is synthesized in the human body through a series of chemical reactions that require B vitamins (B2, B3, B6, B12), pantothenic acid (B5) and vitamin C, so it is also recommended eating products containing these components to enrich the diet and slow the aging of the healthiest way possible.
