Healthy TipsThe infusion of ginseng and licorice is a traditional tonic preparation can be done in the morning and stay warm all day, adding herbs to boiling water as the liquid is consumed. The whole family can take this elixir of herbs daily.

This infusion of energy tones, detoxifies the organs, is soothing to the lungs and improves digestion. Licorice is the most widely used herb in Chinese medicine and appears in almost all recipes, prolongs the effects of other herbs and enhances their flavor. Its natural sweetness makes it unnecessary to add sugar or honey to the recipe.

INGREDIENTS OF THE INFUSION OF GINSENG AND LICORICE

- A small handful of sprouts from the roots of ginseng (Panax ginseng). Sold separately from the root and are not expensive.

- 10 long, thin slices of licorice root.

PREPARATION OF INFUSION OF GINSENG AND LICORICE

In a normal ceramic teapot one liter, or in a thermos, put the roots of ginseng and licorice root. Add boiling water, cover and let soak for fifteen to twenty minutes.

If you do not drink tea in the half hour after its preparation, pour the liquid into another container or thermos, add more hot water to the herbs and then left to soak as needed.

The kettle can be refilled up to six times per day.
