Research has shown that the effect of curcuma as a drugs exists.
India turmeric is used traditionally to treat wounds and scratches. In 1995, however in a U.S. patent awarded to the University of Mississippi on a wound means based on turmeric. The following year the patent was challenged by the Indian Council of Scientific & Industrial Research and withdrawn. The reason was not the age-old custom, but the fact that such use was previously described in a scientific journal.
Turmeric is used not only to Asian rice to color them, but is also supposed to work as a medicine against various diseases, including thrombosis and brain disorders including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson .
Research at Rhodes University in South Africa does have the effect of the herb confirmed the binding of heavy metals. Sheril Daniel did research on curcumin, one of the three anti-inflammatory substances that are in turmeric prevented. He noted in rats that curcumin protects the brain from damage by cyanide, lead and cadmium. The dust particle binds to these toxic compounds before they cause damage in the brains. Daniel thinks that the frequent use of turmeric in Indian dishes Alzheimer largely absent in India.
Treat Scabies With Turmeric

The doses used ranged from 450 milligrams of curcumin capsules to 3 grams of turmeric root daily, divided into several doses by mouth. In the form of tea, 1 to 1.5 grams of dried roots can be immersed in 150 milliliters of water for 15 minutes and taken twice a day. An average dietary intake of turmeric in the Indian population may range between 2 and 2.5 grams, corresponding 60 to 200 milligrams of curcumin. A dose of 0.6 ml of turmeric oil has been taken three times daily for a month, and a dose of 1 milliliter in three divided doses has been taken for two months.
One method that was reported to treat scabies is to cover the affected areas once daily with a paste consisting of a 4:1 mixture of Azadirachta indica ADR (Neem) and turmeric for a maximum of 15 days. Scabies should be treated under supervision of a qualified health care provider.
